Terms of Service
Last updated July 20, 2026
These terms cover your use of inboundcontrol.ca and the work we do for you. We’ve kept them in plain English on purpose. By using our site, ordering a website, or starting a plan, you agree to what’s below. If anything here isn’t clear, email us at [email protected] before you order — we’re happy to explain.
Who we are
InboundControl is a web design and automation studio based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada (“we,” “us,” “our”). We build websites and related digital services for small and local businesses.
What we provide
Depending on what you order, our services include designing and building a website, ongoing website management and hosting support, SEO, security monitoring, lead-capture and booking tools, and other add-ons shown at checkout. The exact scope of your project is whatever you selected on the order page plus anything we confirm with you in writing (email counts).
We aim to send a first preview of a new website within roughly 48 hours of receiving everything we need from you, then refine it with your feedback before launch. Timelines are good-faith estimates, not guarantees, and can shift if we’re waiting on content, access, or answers from you.
Pricing, currency & taxes
Every website build is individually quoted based on scope. Your quote is a fixed total: the amount you actually pay depends on the add-ons and options you choose, the number of pages, and your currency. Your order page and Stripe checkout always show the real total before you pay, and the amount charged is calculated on our servers from your selections — never from anything a browser sends.
Prices may be shown in CAD or your local currency based on your location. Any applicable taxes are your responsibility unless stated otherwise. We may update our prices over time, but a change never affects an order you’ve already paid for.
One-time work vs. monthly plans
Some things are a one-time charge — for example, the website build itself and extra pages. Others are monthly subscriptions — for example, SEO, website management, security, and ads management. At checkout we clearly separate what you pay today from what recurs monthly.
When a monthly plan is attached to a new website, the monthly billing starts when your site goes live. Monthly plans continue until you cancel them (see our Refund & Cancellation Policy). Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
The 48-hour preview
If we offer you a free homepage preview or a 48-hour draft, that preview is exactly that — a preview. Requesting or viewing it doesn’t obligate you to buy anything, and it isn’t a finished, licensed website. Ownership of the work transfers to you once your order is paid, as described next.
Ownership of your website
You own your website. Once your order is paid, the final website we deliver — its content, design, and the code that makes up your site — is yours to keep, use, host wherever you like, and modify. We want you to feel in control, not locked in.
A few sensible exceptions: any third-party components, fonts, stock media, or open-source libraries remain under their own licenses; our own internal tools, reusable frameworks, and general know-how stay ours; and content you give us (your logo, text, photos) stays yours. You confirm you have the right to everything you send us to publish. We may show your finished site in our portfolio unless you ask us in writing not to.
Your responsibilities (acceptable use)
You agree to use our site and services lawfully. In particular, you agree not to:
- use our services for anything illegal, deceptive, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- upload malware, scripts, or content designed to harm, probe, or overload our systems;
- attempt to break, scrape at scale, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to our systems or accounts;
- ask us to build sites for prohibited content (e.g. fraud, malware, or content that violates Stripe’s or our hosting providers’ rules); or
- resell or misrepresent our services as your own without a written agreement.
We may refuse or stop work that violates these rules, and we’ll tell you why.
Refunds & cancellation
How refunds work, how to cancel a monthly plan, and what is and isn’t refundable are covered in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is part of these terms.
Limitation of liability
We put real care into our work, but we provide our services “as is” and can’t promise they’ll be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a website will produce a specific number of leads, sales, or search rankings. To the fullest extent allowed by law, InboundControl is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (such as lost profits or lost data), and our total liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service that the claim is about. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited under Alberta or Canadian law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Alberta, Canada.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our services evolve. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use our site or services after a change means you accept the updated terms. The version in effect when you place an order applies to that order.
